About Us.

Tania believed in the power of sport to teach young people how to be our best. That the rules of the game help guide us on and off the court or the field.

Tania Dalton Foundation, created in honour of the sporting legend whose presence would fill the room, has been established to make a meaningful impact on the lives of budding young New Zealanders, guiding them to lead their biggest life - as Tania did.

The Foundation supports young New Zealanders, from all circumstances and stages of development, to unlock their talent and their best selves. The goal is to engage with thousands of young New Zealanders across the country through a range of programmes aimed at making a positive and measurable impact on the youth of New Zealand.

Tania will be remembered for an incredible sporting legacy, as one of New Zealand’s favourite sporting personalities. She was a naturally talented athlete who backed it up with guts and heart as a player and a team mate.

Even more than her sporting success though, she will be remembered for how she lived every day. She lived as we might all strive for – never on the side line, always in the action, bringing her A-game as standard… with a big heart and an easy smile, sucking the juice out of life.”

Tania Dalton is a registered Charitable Trust (CC54705) and is governed by a talented group of committed trustees, all of whom shared a special bond with Tania. They also share a passion for young people, sport and equality.
