All things being equal, the talented 18-year-old daughter of late Silver Fern Tania Dalton would be in California right now, dashing between classes and the gym as she embarks on the first year of a full scholarship at Saint Mary’s College in San Francisco. Instead, she is left playing a frustrating waiting game as the global pandemic throws the American college sporting year into a vortex of uncertainty.
